David Benoit arrives in Manila
Five-time Grammy nominee David Benoit is back in the country to once again enthrall Filipino fans with his hypnotizing melodies on the piano.
The pianist, composer and conductor arrived Sunday morning together with his wife Kei, onboard Philippine Airlines flight PR103 from Los Angeles, California.
“I am very happy to be back,” said Benoit who is now on his fourth visit to the country.
“It’s been 29 years since I first came to Manila, and it’s amazing how my career and life has changed since then.”
Benoit will perform at the Philippine International Convention Center on Thursday, February 11 with Bituin Escalante and Tots Tolentino as specials guests.
His performance will include all-time favorites Key To You, Land of the Loving and Promise Me a Carousel, accompanied by the 60-piece Filharmonika Orchestra with Gerard Salonga conducting. He will also play Michael Jackson’s Human Nature, which is part of his most recent album.
